The Eclipse Guided Tour – Part 2

My sophomore effort for Pluralsight is now available, just in time for Christmas! If you have one of those hard to shop for software developers in your family, a subscription to Pluralsight is just the thing. The Eclipse Guided Tour –Part 2, picks up where part 1 left off. This course covers more advanced topics including a very in-depth look at the Eclipse debugger. Once again I focus on C++ and Java development, but the course should be valuable for anyone using Eclipse for any language.  Even I learned a thing or two in creating this course. The major modules examine:

  1. What should go in your workspace
  2. Eclipse Variables (environment, string substitution, build variables and more)
  3. Code Templates in depth (including many useful sample templates)
  4. Debugging
  5. Advanced Tips and Tricks, including customizing the Eclipse.ini file
  6. Adding Plug-ins

Tod Gentille (@todgentille) is now a Curriculum Director for Pluralsight. He's been programming professionally since well before you were born and was a software consultant for most of his career. He's also a father, husband, drummer, and windsurfer. He wants to be a guitar player but he just hasn't got the chops for it.
